Risk Management Measures for Banks’ Derivatives Transactions
Bank regulators proposed relaxing risk management rules for derivatives trades between legal entities contained within the same corporate structure. After publishing an op-ed on the topic over the summer, CASI staff filed a comment to the proposed rule, suggesting that the changes were ill-advised and lacked a proper evidentiary basis. After the comment was filed, the agencies extended the comment period, a move that was also requested in the CASI comment letter.
