Rules Protecting Against Big Bank Failures

The Federal Reserve and FDIC proposed lowering the bar for banks to demonstrate that they can go into bankruptcy safely without triggering another financial crisis. CASI’s leadership filed a comment letter opposing these changes and urging the agencies to use this process, known as creating a “living will,” to mitigate the risks that the largest U.S. banks still pose to the U.S. economy.
